The three-site arrangement comes from the institution being established across Northern Ireland and each site runs its own cluster of provision. With the rebuilding of the Belfast site a significant share of the art, business and computing programmes gathered there.

Which subjects stand out at Ulster?
Art and design is the best known field here and runs at the Belfast site. Alongside it biomedical sciences, nursing, law, business and computer science carry long course lists at undergraduate and postgraduate level and fill out the rest of the catalogue.

What are the entry requirements at Ulster?
The institution publishes no single Turkey-wide grade threshold; the qualifications accepted and the mark required are stated in the entry requirements section of each course page. A Turkish high school diploma is not sufficient on its own.

What are tuition fees at Ulster?
The international fee varies by course and each course publishes the figure on its own page. The institution runs scholarships at undergraduate and postgraduate level; conditions and deadlines are listed on its funding pages by year of entry and by course.
Alongside tuition, living cost is the second large item. The maintenance funds a student visa asks you to show are set by region and come to £1,171 a month here; in London the same line is £1,529.

The main Belfast site is gathered into a single rebuilt building north of the city centre; Coleraine sits on the north coast and the Magee site in Derry at the western end. Bus and train connect the sites and journeys run to about an hour.

Accommodation is mostly in university halls in the first year; later on students move into rented housing in the city centre. Dublin is two hours away by coach and London an hour and a half by air.

How do you apply to Ulster?
Undergraduate applications go through UCAS and the deadline for 2027 entry is 13 January 2027, the equal consideration date. Postgraduate and doctoral applications are sent directly to the course through the institution's own online portal instead.
