Which subjects stand out at Glasgow?
Medicine, law and engineering are the institution's longest established fields. Alongside them computer science, veterinary medicine, business, social sciences and art history carry long course lists; the Adam Smith Business School runs business teaching under its own roof.

What are tuition fees at Glasgow?
The international fee varies by course and each course publishes the figure on its own page. The institution runs scholarships at undergraduate and postgraduate level; conditions and deadlines are listed on its funding pages by year of entry and by course.
Alongside tuition, living cost is the second large item. The maintenance funds a student visa asks you to show are set by region and come to £1,171 a month here; in London the same line is £1,529.

What is the campus and student life like in Glasgow?
The Gilmorehill site sits on a hill in the city's West End and the neo-gothic main building is among the most recognised parts of the skyline. Kelvingrove Park and the museum are within walking distance; the city centre is minutes away by underground.
The West End is where the city's cafés and music venues concentrate and the student population spreads across it. The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the Botanic Gardens are within walking distance of the site.
Accommodation is mostly in university halls in the first year; later on students move into rented housing around the West End and Partick. The city centre is a few stops away on the underground.

How do you apply to Glasgow?
Undergraduate applications go through UCAS; the deadline for 2027 entry is 13 January 2027, moving to 15 October 2026 for medicine and veterinary medicine. Postgraduate applications are sent directly to the course through the institution's own portal.
